Swarnim Wagle Career
Dr. Swarnim Wagle worked for UN agencies and the World Bank for almost 20 years. He was also the co-leader of the Post-Disaster Need Assessment (PDNA).
He has been actively involved in economic research and policy formulation in Nepal and has contributed to various national and international organizations.
Swarnim Wagle served as a member of the National Planning Commission of Nepal from 2014 to 2018. During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping Nepal’s development policies and strategies.
He was instrumental in the formulation of the 14th National Development Plan, which aimed to guide Nepal’s development efforts for the period 2016-2021.
Wagle has also been associated with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He served as an economist at the IMF from 2009 to 2014, where he worked on macroeconomic policy issues and provided advice to member countries.
